Bishop Eugene and Sister Dorothy Redd served Star Bethlehem Church and Ansonia for forty-one years. During those many years, they touched many lives - taught many, helped many, encouraged many , helped lead many to salvation, and comforted many. Nehemiah said the joy of the LORD is our strength and the Redds continue to share that joy today.
Here are a couple of photos that record the passage of time. The first was taken about 1949 in front of Elder Greist's 1948 Cadillac, parked on Admiral Street in New Haven. The second was taken last Sunday at the prayer of dedication for the new church van - pictured with Sister Redd is a granddaughter, Shaista and great-granddaughter Jada.
Below is daughter Tarsyia M. Waddell, granddaughter Brittnee, grandson Bradlee and great-grandchildren Jazmyne, Jada, Janay, and Jonah, all up from Texas. Missing from picture are Shaista, Rontaya and Jie. They all flew up from Allen, Texas (north of Dallas) to see their father/grandfather/great-grandfather. The photo wouldn't have been so dark if the inexperienced photographer could have gotten the flash on his new camera to work.
