The young people of the First Pentecostal Church Choir sang with strength and harmony, blessing us with two selections. In the enlarged view of the middle picture, Evangelist Valjean Ashe can be seen, peeking between shoulders. Our guest speaker for Friday was Elder Charles Ashe III, pastor of First Pentecostal Church of Christ. Speaking of the healing of Jairus' daughter, Elder Ashe took his text from Mark 5:36, exhorting us to "Keep On Believing." First Pentecostal is located at 33 Valley Street in the West Hills section of New Haven, sometimes called "The Wild, Wild West." First Pentecostal is challenging the devil in his playground.
